All babies talk at different ages but babies can verbalise from as early as six weeks of age making little cooing and gooing sounds. The more you talk to you baby the quicker they will learn to make sounds. They watch your face and copy you. Some babies can say Dad, Dad from as early as nine months. Most children start saying words that can be understood from 18 months – 2 years however every child is different and learning new skills takes time. A child who can walk may not talk. A child who can talk may not walk until later.
