When Can You Spoon Feed A Baby?

Question, when can you spoon feed a baby?
The answer is that spoon feeding can be introduced to your baby’s feeding at 6 months if you have exclusively breastfed your baby, or at 4-6 months if you have fed your baby formula.
It is also helpful when your baby can:
  • Shows interest in your food when you are eating
  • Can hold their head up and sit-up without support
  • Can open their mouth and be comfortable when the spoon is in their mouth

I got given this very cute cutlery set for my sons christening and then when I started solids I started letting him hold the spoon and get used to it. This was 6 months when I started on baby rice and cereals.
